Our Beginnings

Originally from the province of Aquila, Alberto, son of a miller, opened in 1964, an Italian food workshop in the heart of Montreal’s Little Italy where a few years later began the production of Mia pizza crusts.


Today, still established in Montreal’s Little Italy, MIA Foods Inc. is a modern company whose owners are proud to offer quality bakery products manufactured in keeping with traditions and recipes of Italian origin.

Mia brand Pizza Crusts, Focaccias & Breadsticks are produced in a dairy & peanut free plant, sourcing its power exclusively from renewable energy. All bakery goods are made with high quality ingredients including, among others, worldwide renowned Canadian wheat and grains.

Our unsurpassed manufacturing equipment used to produce the vast majority of Mia products has been designed to gently roll the dough in the manner of artisan bakers and pizzaiolos in order to maintain the delicate as well as the full structure of the dough while preserving nutritional value of the product.

The Mia team is proud to perpetuate and share MIA bakery products of Italian tradition with tens of thousands of families every week.
